Texas state interior design. Interior design proficiency review. Nineteen eighty eight is texas state s only interior design organization. Students are required to pass a proficiency review after completing their first 18 credit hours of interior design and art courses.

We are a student run organization that combine both our asid american society of interior designers and iida international interior design association student chapters together to create a place where our members can grow their knowledge of the design industry and prepare for a professional career. The mission of the texas board of architectural examiners tbae is to serve the state of texas by protecting and preserving the health safety and welfare of the texans who live work and play in the built environment through the regulation of the practice of architecture landscape architecture and interior design. 1988 was the year the texas state interior design program earned their cida accreditation.

Graduates are academically prepared to take the ncidq national council for interior design qualification examination which must be passed to register as an interior designer in texas and many other states. Interior design majors must pass proficiency review to gain access to further interior design coursework. A texas state gpa of 2 0 is required to graduate.
